These living rooms by bi-coastal design studio, Amy Peltier Interior Design & Home, flaunt a relaxed, coastal aesthetic with accents of Midwestern style. Here are some of my favorite living room looks from Amy’s designs.
Minimal and Elegant
The living rooms showcased above were designed for a family’s forever home in Pasadena, and I love how Amy used natural hues and functional furniture to create a comfortable yet stylish look. The light-blue couch and striped ottoman are family-friendly and cozy, while the white cube tables double up as footrests. The living room on the right is all about earthy charm with a tan sofa and wood accents. Both rooms are bathed in abundant sunlight, and the artwork on the walls adds the perfect finishing touch.
Cool and Coastal
This calming oasis of blue and white is perfect for spending time with friends and family. The printed upholstery and abstract artwork add a dash of quirk to the classic lines, while the rug, coffee table, and sofas lend a modern look. I also love how the subtle blue wall color is contrasted with warm wood flooring.
Amy described this project as “mid-century modern with a little bit of light-hearted whimsy” – what a great look! The living room on the left showcases mid-century modern pieces like the leather-clad chairs and white sofa contrasted with a wood table and metal shelf, while the sunburst mirror adds the perfect dash of shimmer. The living room on the right has a more formal look with neutral-hued furniture, an abstract grey-and-white rug, and a multi-functioning ottoman.
A Glamorous Touch
Warm bronze accents are paired with grays and whites, while the artwork adds a playful element. I adore the printed black-and-white stools!
This living room is all about effortless elegance. Subtle-hued furniture is complemented with a geometric table and warm wooden accents.
