Behr Paint Reveals Its Color Of The Year 2018!

Last Updated: June 26th, 2025

As soon as I heard of Behr's COTY choice, In The Moment, I started looking for design inspiration! I love colorful interiors as well as seeing how the pros put such hues to use. With In The Moment, the blue-green tone showcases beautifully as an primary color, accent, or detail - which makes this an adaptable color choice for those who like to change up their home's look from time to time.

I'm interested to hear what you all think about In The Moment and how you'd use it in your own home! But until then, check out a few of these 4 stylish ways to add this color to your interiors:

Upholstery

In The Moment speaks volumes as the background colors in these contemporary spaces where detail is key. From subtle bursts in the throw pillows to a larger appearance in the banquette seating, In The Moment makes a statement while complementing the surrounding design elements. The blue-green tone, as you'll notice, works well in both a contemporary-traditional style, as seen in Lumar Interior's design, as well as a contemporary one, like in the pool house banquette by Armitage Interiors. Every living area can benefit from such a versatile color, don't you think?

Bedroom Textiles & Accent Walls

Again, the versatile In The Moment looks right at home in this kids’ bedroom by Austin’s Breathe Design Studio. From the alluring wallpaper to the plush carpet, In The Moment can be played up with highly saturated yellows and greens for a charming ambience.  With the blue-green walls as a backdrop, the cute bedding and fluffy pillows beautifully stand out, making the space pop. What do you think - which color combination do you prefer for your own bedroom?

Bathroom Backsplashes

Both Randy Trainor and Kimberlee Gorsline show off the power of In The Moment in these two (very different) bathroom interiors! While the blue-green offers a serene look in Kimberlee’s neutral spa-like bathroom design, it contrasts beautifully as a backsplash detail in Randy’s design, breaking the monotony of the large format tiles on the floor and the walls.

When it comes to bold, intentional color, In the Moment shines brightest on large-scale features. These two spaces show how this calming blue-green hue can anchor a room while adding depth and personality.

In the first image, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, drawers, and floating shelves are finished in In the Moment, transforming a combined work station and mudroom into a space that feels both grounded and inspiring. The color acts as a functional focal point—soothing yet expressive, perfect for sparking creativity and maintaining clarity.

In the second image, the same hue appears as a full-height backsplash in an elegant kitchen. Paired with crisp white cabinetry and natural wood countertops, In the Moment brings a refreshing contrast and cohesive warmth. The backsplash becomes the visual centerpiece, tying the materials together in a way that feels relaxed yet curated.

These examples show how using In the Moment across larger surfaces—rather than smaller accents—can create an elevated, cohesive impact that resonates throughout the home.

Well, those are my 4 favorite uses of In The Moment (so far). Share with me your creative uses for this color and let me know how these design ideas worked in your home!♥
