I love discovering fresh design ideas on Instagram, and that is how I came upon this classy master bathroom designed by Chicago design-build company Chi Renovation & Design.
I'd like to give you a tour of this luxurious bathroom through my designer eyes.
COLOR SCHEME
One can never go wrong with a white color scheme. The calming hue makes the room appear spacious, clean, and crisp. Combine it with a soft gray and hints of black and the result is timeless beauty!
The designers have used classic white subway tiles halfway up the walls, with the remainder filled with soft gray wall paint. The ceiling is given a complementing white paint. A black accent line was introduced in the wall to add a touch of class to the white tiles. For the floor, large white square tiles have been used with the center being adorned with vintage basketweave tiles with black dots.
Stainless steel fixtures are a good match for the overall color theme, and bright white lights give the room an element of freshness.
VANITY
A pristine white sink vanity with black trim adds an element of glamour to the room. His and her sinks and vanity offer great functionality and personal space for the homeowners.
The drawer and cabinet storage keep the vanity top clutter-free and clean. The vanity is complemented with a pair of steel-rimmed mirrors, each of which is lit with dual sconce bright white lights. A larger full-length mirror occupies the adjacent wall. Going with the wall theme, even the white hand towel has black trim.
The slim drawer vanity is perfect for storing extra hand towels or other personal items.
WALK-IN SHOWER
Glass encloses the beautiful walk-in shower, complete with tiled seating. Adhering to the white theme, the walls have white brick tiles, while the floor and ceiling are covered with tiny hexagon tiles. Featuring an overhead shower and a steam panel, this walk-in shower ensures the residents a wonderfully hot experience even on Chicago’s coldest days.
BATHTUB
A stunning Kallista bathtub stands alone in all its elegance. It is the ideal spot to soak in and enjoy a good book or simply daydream. The statement art piece above the tub is a smart way to introduce art in the bathroom that integrates with the ethnic fusion theme of the rest of the home.
This Chicago bathroom remodel is the perfect example of how some general contractors have upped their game by hiring on outstanding interior designers. In this case, the Chicago design-build team of Chi Renovation & Design transformed this bathroom into a classy minimalist space with impeccable attention to detail.
