This probably seems like a no-brainer. One can’t expect to have a clean & clutter-free home if you don’t tidy up! But, aside from picking up after oneself (dishes...laundry), getting organized and taking time each day to put your space together will do wonders!
For example, not letting junk mail or recycling pile up is a good start! If you notice something out of place - put it away! If you notice something doesn’t have a place - create one! Mix & Match Patterns/Textiles
If you’re not mixing and matching color or pattern (and you want to), now is the time! While minimalist homes are still very much a trend, there’s something warm and welcoming about a home that’s filled with exotic patterns and rich colors. As you can see, warm and cool colors look fabulous together, as do varying textures and prints.

The Right Sofa

Finding the right sofa(s) for your home is crucial! First, you need to understand the purpose of your sofa. If you live with a large family, you’re not going to get away with having a small loveseat or settee. And, if you live by yourself, you probably don’t need a huge sectional.
Once you’ve honed in on your needs, careful consideration of fabrics (are there pets in the house?), color palette, firmness, etc… are all additional things to think about! Choosing a sofa can be one of the most time-consuming purchases, but it’s worth the investment in time and money.

Height

It can be easy to get distracted with all the furnishings and forget about proportion and space. And, I know, lamps, throws, and decor can all be much more exciting, but the truth is that if you want a designer look, you need to keep the whole space in mind. This is especially true if your interior is small or your ceilings are low. The fix could be as easy as hanging some art or curtains, or as bold as a ceiling mural -- it’s really up to you!

The Right Decor

It’s hard to define the “right” decor, but there are a few tips to putting your best foot forward. For one, books, artwork, houseplants, and fresh florals never fail to impress and they all offer varying scale and texture. You don’t want your decor to be all over the board, so choosing items that look unified is another great starting point - such as metals, glass, and artifacts.
It helps to find a starting point, whether that be a statement art piece, gallery wall, or lighting. Once you know the main focal point of the room, it will become easier to find other complementary pieces.
